Peacefully on February 14, 2012 at the Georgian Bay General Hospital Midland. Predeceased by his beloved wife Beatrice. Loving father of Stuart (Susan) and Grant. Brother of John (Ethel), Sam (Celia), Mary (Hamilton) and Bob (Gerry). Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews and friends. Cremation has taken place. Arrangements entrusted to the Watts Funeral Home, 14 Poyntz St., Penetanguishene, ON 705-549-5400. A celebration of life to be announced at a later date. Donations in memory of Edward to the Canadian Blood Services would be appreciated.

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Hannah “Joan” on February 9, 2012 at the Credit Valley Hospital, Mississauga in her 91st year. Predeceased (2011) by her beloved husband Joseph. Loving mother of David and Shirley. Dear sister of Nancy Kearney, London, England. Predeceased by her parents Patrick and Hannah, brothers Bill, Jim and Richard, sisters Ellie, Maria and Kitty. Survived by sisters-in-law Teresa and Margaret, brothers-in-law Michael, Paul and Charles and many nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation will be held at the WATTS FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 132 River Road East, Wasaga Beach, ON, 705-429-1040 on Friday, February 17, 2012 from 10:30 am to 12:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at St. Noel Roman Catholic Church, 133 Dunkerron Street, Wasaga Beach, ON. on Friday, February 17, 2012 at 1:00 pm. Spring interment St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Phelpston, ON. In lieu of flowers donations in Joan’s memory to St. Noel Roman Catholic Church would be appreciated.
A Special Thank You to all who have provided care for Joan, the staff at the Wenleigh Nursing Home and the doctors and nurses at the Credit Valley Hospital in Mississauga.

Beloved father of Robert Donald (Lisa) Thackeray and Grace Ellen (Robert) Purvis. Grandfather of Ken Donald (Predeceased), Nicole and Trevor. Great Grandfather of Austin, Mickeal and Brydan. Visitation will be held at the Watts Cremation Centre and Funeral home, 845 Yonge St., Midland, ON., 705-526-1500 on Tuesday, March 20, 2012 from 11:00 am until time of memorial service at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers donations to the Canadian Red Cross Society would be appreciated.

Loving mother of Tom (Marianne) Quick of Wasaga Beach and Janice (Carl) Upham of Vassalboro, Maine. Grandma of Jacqueline, Barbara, Robert, David, Geoffrey and Lisa Marie. Great grandma of Tennille, Whitney, Lee, Katlyn, Jonathan, Michael, Emilianna, Jacob and Grace.Sister of Clara Mohr of Roblin MB, Bert Zimmer of Grandview MB, and Julius Zimmer of Roblin MB.
Predeceased by her sister Wilma Wagner and brothers Lawrence Zimmer and Robert Zimmer. Fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation will be held at the WATTS FUNERAL HOME and CREMATION CENTRE, 132 River Road East, Wasaga Beach, ON 705-429-1040 on Thursday, February 2, 2012 from 7:00 to 9:00 pm. In 1993, the Watts family opened a traditional Funeral Home located at 132 River Road East, Wasaga Beach, Ontario. This site, once a church, sits nestled on the banks of the Nottawasaga River and offers families a warm and home-like environment in which to hold traditional funeral services, memorial services, visitations and receptions.

Max and Barbara Watts have operated the facility in the same manner which has served them well during their more than 50 year funeral service careers. Max and Barbara are strong community supporters and have been living in Wasaga Beach for nearly 20 years. The Watts Funeral Home and Cremation Centre approaches two decades serving Wasaga Beach and surrounding area. In an era of transience, this stability has been a solid foundation for the families that have been served.

Their son, Darrin Watts, a licensed Funeral Director since 1987, has further established the Watts family as a Professional Funeral Service provider for Wasaga Beach and surrounding communities. Darrin continues his parents vision while serving the community in the new Death Care Industry. Along with his wife and two children, Darrin has called Wasaga Beach home since 2001 supporting local events and organizations.

In 2010, the Watts family opened an additional location – Maison Funéraire Watts Funeral Home located at 14 Poyntz St. in Penetanguishene. This location is a professionally designed and customized facility also focused on upholding the beliefs, rights and rituals of their clients during difficult times.
